The report that a movie star in his 40s was booked by the police for drunk driving was not true.

On the 14th, Asia Economic Daily reported that the police were investigating Mr. A, a movie star in his 40s, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drinking driving).

Mr. A had an accident at around 6:30 am on this day when he ran into a traffic light at the southern end of Hannam Bridge in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At the time of the accident, Mr. A's blood alcohol level was said to be at a level that would result in his license being revoked.

An official at Gangnam Police Station in Seoul stated that this was a false report. A police official explained that Mr. A is not a movie star in his 40s, but a male non-celebrity in his 20s.

It was an incident that occurred with Mr. A having the same name. Only other actors suffered damage because their names were mentioned.
