‘Killing Romance’ director “Oh Jeong-se makes a special appearance”

On the afternoon of the 10th, a press screening for the movie ‘Killing Romance’ (directed by Lee Won-seok) was held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Won-seok, Lee Ha-nui, and Lee Sun-gyun attended the press conference held after the preview.
'Killing Romance' is about top star Yeorae (played by Lee Ha-nui), who suddenly announces her retirement after falling in love with island tycoon Jonathan (played by Lee Seon-gyun), and meets Beom-woo (played by Gong Myeong), a student from the 3rd fan club, and plots an extraordinary comeback plan. It's a story.
Director Won-seok Lee, who directed 'Men's Manual', and Jeong-ye Park, writer of 'Beauty Inside', began their work under the motto of "let's create something that has never existed in the world." As the title is 'Killing Romance', the formula of romance genre films was excluded and a story close to anti-romance was completed.
On this day, director Lee Won-seok joked, saying, "Actor Oh Jeong-se said he wouldn't answer my calls. He said he wouldn't answer unless it was from director Bong Joon-ho."
He said, "I once had such a conversation with actor Oh Jeong-se. We talked about a story from 'Men's Manual'. While we were talking, the story of Jjimjilbang came up. He said that he would have become a character who leads a depressed life after failing at karaoke. “I once asked Jeong Se to make a special appearance, and he did it,” he said, making everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, 'Killing Romance' will be released on the 14th.
