Lee Jun-hyuk, the reason he gained 19 kg for ‘Crime City 3’

The movie 'Crime City 3', which will be released on May 31, has been rated 15 years old. The Korea Media Rating Board said, "There are scenes of strong strikes with fists, fighting scenes, and killings with weapons and weapons, but the level of violence is somewhat high as they are expressed indirectly through bloody descriptions and sounds, and scenes of drug packaging, trading, and taking. “The harmfulness of drugs and imitative risk factors is also somewhat high in scenes such as sitting in a dazed state or abandoning a body,” he explained.
The ‘Crime City’ series began in 2017. Although 'Crime City' was not a movie for teenagers, it was an unusual box office success, attracting 6.88 million people. Accordingly, a sequel, ‘Crime City 2’, was produced. 'Crime City 2', which was rated 15 years old, attracted 12.69 million viewers due to revenge consumption and the ban on eating at movie theaters.

Lee Jun-hyuk plays Joo Seong-cheol, one of the first two-top villains in the series. Lee Jun-hyuk said through the YouTube channel 'Allure Korea', "I played a villain recently. My body hurt a lot. I think Joo Seong-cheol in the movie 'Crime City 3' is the first person who can be said to be an extreme villain so far, so I remember him a lot." He said. He defined Joo Seong-cheol in five words as “a sensitive bison.”
Lee Jun-hyuk said, "I created Joo Seong-cheol while imagining the feeling of a bison. Joo Seong-cheol is truly the most confident character I've played. I think this is the first time I've played someone who is so confident. He really loves himself and is full of confidence. “I was lucky. He’s very confident. I’ve never seen someone like that before,” he explained.

Lee Jun-hyuk laughed, saying, “I wanted to hurt less when I got hit by Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok). I thought it would hurt less if there was a cushion. Otherwise, I would have to hit him too.” He said, "Personally, I was happy (by doing a skinny-up). I felt like I showed a side of me that I haven't been able to show before. I think I did a good job because I thought I could fight at that level."
Lee Jun-hyuk plays one of the two top villains for the first time in the ‘Crime City’ series. From the time the casting was announced, there were many reactions saying, 'Don't hit the face.' However, what Lee Jun-hyuk chose was shank-up. Following its previous work, 'Crime City 3' was rated for ages 15 and older. Accordingly, we plan to aim to attract 10 million viewers this year as well. Expectations are high on what Lee Jun-hyuk's new face will look like after gaining 19 kg.
