Police apply for arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in on drug charges

The police have applied for an arrest warrant for actor Yoo Ah-in (real name Um Hong-sik, 37), who is accused of habitual drug use.

On the afternoon of the 19th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Drug Crime Investigation Unit requested an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in, who is suspected of violating the Narcotics Control Act. The police applied for an arrest warrant to the court based on the judgment that Yoo Ah-in denies the charges and there is a risk of destroying evidence.

The police believe that Yoo Ah-in took a total of 5 types of drugs. In February, the police received the results of an analysis from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation that found four types of narcotic components, including hemp, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine, in Yoo Ah-in's hair and urine. We have been investigating and capturing the circumstances of prescriptions for non-medical purposes.
