Ma Dong-seok "'Criminal City' series. Continue if the audience wants it"

On the afternoon of the 22nd, a media distribution preview for the movie 'Crime City 3' (director Lee Sang-yong) was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Actors Ma Dong-seok, Lee Jun-hyuk, Aoki Munetaka, and director Sang-yong Lee attended the press conference held after the media distribution preview.
'Criminal City 3' is a monster detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) moves to Gwangsu University in Seoul to catch Joo Seong-cheol (Lee Jun-hyeok), who is behind a new drug crime case, and Ricky (Aoki Munetaka), another villain involved in a drug case. It depicts an exhilarating crime-fighting operation for the sake of others.
Ma Dong-seok plays the role of detective Ma Seok-do. Detective Maseok-do is a person who moved to the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Unit seven years after the arrest of the kidnapper and murderer in Vietnam. He learns that the murder case he and his new team members are investigating is linked to a new drug case linked to a Japanese organization.
On this day, when asked how old he plans to be in the 'Criminal City' series, Ma Dong-seok said, "I'm not sure about that part. Because it is a job that is chosen, there are times when you cannot continue your career in the movie or role you want.”
“I wanted to do a detective action film, so I became friends with the detective and listened to a lot of stories, and I did my own research. With the idea that I wanted to show the stories of ‘Crime City’ as a movie, I selected about 8 stories out of 50 and planned them. It was my own wish, but I wanted to make it into a franchise. Thankfully, the situation came true."
Ma Dong-seok said, "I really wanted to try the detective action genre, and I did it. I planned 8 episodes, but I think I can do it until the audience wants it. There are many stories and situations. , I am filming while recovering from an injury."
Also, "Honestly, there is no broken place here and there. Looking at Sylvester Stallone, who I like, he is filming works even though he is over 70 years old, I also have that wish (like Sylvester Stallone). I wish I could continue filming movies like this even when I am older. I have a wish. The most important thing is that I can make it only when the audience wants it. I will work hard to manage that part as much as possible."
'Sin City 3' will be released on the 31st.
