Lee Ji-hoon's fierceness in his first lead role on the screen
On the morning of the 31st, Lee Ji-hoon attended the production briefing for the movie "Between No Gap" (director Lee Woo-chul) held at the Konkuk University entrance of Lotte Cinema, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Lee Ji-hoon returns to the screen with 'Close Relationship' four years after the movie 'Dad is Pretty' released in 2019.
'Close Relationship' depicts the story of aspiring musician Seungjin (played by Lee Ji-hoon) and figure designer Rani (played by Han Seung-yeon), living together as if they were not living together with a soundproof wall between them. In the play, Lee Ji-hoon took on the role of Seung-jin. Although he does not have the skills to promote, he is a person who dreams of becoming a singer and challenges for the final audition.
Lee Ji-hoon was embroiled in a controversy with a staff member during the filming of 'Sponsor', the opening special drama of IHQ drama last year. Lee Ji-hoon, who appeared at an official event for the first time after the controversy over power abuse, said, "This is the first public appearance after causing concern over a personal matter."
Last year, the 'Sponsor' staff claimed that Lee Ji-hoon brought an acquaintance to the filming set and abused him. Writer A also said, "Lee Ji-hoon has expressed his dissatisfaction with his amount several times, and half of the staff, including himself, have been replaced."
The controversy seemed to be over as Lee Ji-hoon personally revealed his position. However, Lee Ji-hoon did not attend the online production presentation of 'Sponsor'. An official from the 'sponsor' side explained, "Lee Ji-hoon was unable to attend due to other schedules on the same day while adjusting the schedule."
Lee Ji-hoon said, "It's nice to be able to stand here after working on a project for the first time in a while. It's been a time for me to look back and think about things I've missed while working. To be honest, at first, I was upset and heartbroken. But I felt that I had something to gain as an actor."
