Blackpink to Reunite on Met Gala Red Carpet; Aespa's Karina and Ningning Make Their Debut

As the annual Met Gala in New York approaches, the globally renowned group Blackpink is set to reunite on the red carpet. Aespa's Karina and Ningning will make their debut at this prestigious event.

This year, Blackpink members Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo are expected to attend the Met Gala. It marks the first time all members of Blackpink will participate in the event, with Jisoo making her highly anticipated debut.

The dress code for this year's gala is "Fashion is Art," celebrating the human body as an artistic canvas. The event will be co-chaired by singer Beyoncé, actress Nicole Kidman, athlete Venus Williams, and editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Notably, Lisa has become the first K-pop artist to be named on the host committee.

Ningning and Karina will also debut at this year's Met Gala, marking the first attendance by a fourth-generation girl group. Ningning will represent Gucci, having recently been appointed as a global brand ambassador, while Karina will represent Prada, where she has been a global ambassador since 2024.

Officially known as the "Costume Institute Benefit," the Met Gala has been held for over 78 years to support the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Organized by Vogue, the event invites influential figures from fashion, politics, and economics. It takes place annually on the first Monday of May.

Previously, in 2021, Rosé and CL were the first K-pop female artists to attend the event. In 2024, Stray Kids became the first K-pop boy group to walk the red carpet with all members present. Jennie and Lisa have also made their presence felt at the gala between 2023 and 2025.
