Netflix's 'Single's Inferno 4' Star Kook Dong-ho Faces School Bullying Allegations While Continuing Career as Accountant
According to a report by TenAsia on the 4th, Kook Dong-ho opened an accounting office with fellow accountants at the end of last year and is currently operating it. He has not shifted to being an influencer post his TV appearance but continues his work as a certified public accountant.
Kook Dong-ho is reportedly focusing on accounting and financial tasks and preparing to publish a book. He announced on his social media last year that the related book is scheduled for release in 2026.
Kook Dong-ho gained attention as a 188cm tall certified public accountant from Korea University on 'Single's Inferno 4', which aired in January last year. At the time of the show, he was working at Samil PwC, where he introduced himself as someone who assists in crucial corporate decision-making through financial advisory, valuation, due diligence, and investment attraction.
A stated, "I was bullied by the school bullies," and claimed, "Kook Dong-ho, who was the boyfriend of B, the main bully, made a so-called 'confession attack' on me. He confessed to me in front of others and his girlfriend, laughing." A also mentioned, "I heard he quit his professional job after appearing on 'Single's Inferno' and is now living as an influencer," but TenAsia's investigation confirmed that Kook is still working as an accountant.
Kook Dong-ho's agency released an official statement saying, "We will uncover the truth based on objective data and evidence," and emphasized, "Kook Dong-ho underwent a strict pre-screening process before appearing on the popular entertainment program, and our internal investigation confirmed that he was not involved in any of the violent acts or so-called 'school power abuse' mentioned in the post."
The agency also expressed deep regret over what they described as "social murder through unilateral public opinion formation," and criticized the lawyer for using their professional status to spread unverified claims to the public, severely damaging the artist's reputation.
The agency particularly stressed that Kook Dong-ho is working as an accountant, not an influencer. "Mr. Kook Dong-ho is currently working as an accountant, and he even had in-depth discussions with the company about quitting influencer work around January 2026," they added.
