Model and Broadcaster Lee Hyun-yi Opens Up About Aging Concerns Ahead of Fashion Show

Model and broadcaster Lee Hyun-yi has candidly shared her concerns about aging as she prepares for an upcoming fashion show.

On October 2, Lee Hyun-yi's YouTube channel 'Working Mom Lee Hyun-yi' released a video titled 'Emergency Anti-Aging Measures Before Fashion Show! (Neck Wrinkle Care, Enzyme Treatment)'.

In the video, Lee Hyun-yi revealed that she is currently preparing to host the Seoul Spring Festival and walk in a fashion show simultaneously. She expressed her unique pressure by saying, "I'm hosting and walking in a fashion show on the same day. It's also for Andre Kim's show." She added, "It's my first time back on the runway in 21 years since my debut. I almost couldn't walk again due to a mistake as a rookie, so I really want to do well this time."

To prepare for the stage, Lee Hyun-yi has embarked on 'comprehensive management'. She stated, "I'm taking care of everything from head to toe." However, her biggest concern was aging. Lee Hyun-yi confessed, "Dieting is manageable with exercise and not eating. The real challenge is aging, which is the greatest obstacle that can't be reversed."

She identified hair thinning, gray hair, neck wrinkles, and decreased skin elasticity as her main concerns. "Looking at a video from exactly a year ago, I didn't have gray hair back then. Nowadays, I get one every time I'm stressed," she shared, revealing her realistic worries.

Ultimately, Lee Hyun-yi visited a dermatologist, explaining, "I have a long neck and protruding neck bones, so I've had neck wrinkles since I was young," and began focused treatment. After consulting with medical professionals, she underwent skin booster and Botox treatments.

Immediately after the procedure, Lee Hyun-yi expressed satisfaction, saying, "My skin condition is very good." She further explained, "I tend to use my neck muscles a lot when I talk, so they helped reduce muscle usage with Botox." She also shared her expectation for more natural results over time.

Lee Hyun-yi showed her determination for proactive management, stating, "I'm doing everything I can," and explained, "Playing soccer has misaligned my body. My upper body hurts a lot, so I needed management."

Meanwhile, Lee Hyun-yi married Samsung Electronics semiconductor development engineer Hong Sung-ki in 2012, and they have two sons. Currently, both sons are attending Chung-Ang University Elementary School, with annual tuition reportedly around 10 million won.
