Choi Dong-seok Shares Casual Update Amid Defamation Investigation

Broadcaster Choi Dong-seok has shared a glimpse of his usual routine.

On the 29th, Choi posted a photo on his Instagram story with the caption, "Tea time and document work."

The photo shows Choi at a large franchise store ordering a drink. Despite reports of him being investigated for spreading malicious rumors about his ex-wife Park Ji-yoon during their divorce proceedings, Choi appears unfazed, continuing with his daily life.

Previously, on the 28th, a media outlet reported that the Seogwipo Police Station in Jeju is investigating Choi for defamation. According to the report, Park Ji-yoon filed a complaint against those who posted malicious content and spread rumors online last year, with Choi being one of the suspects.

In response, Choi's side stated, "We have not been officially contacted." They further explained that "a friend of Park Ji-yoon was investigated for writing defamatory posts about Choi."

Choi and Park are both former KBS announcers. They married in 2009 and have a son and a daughter. However, after 14 years of marriage, they are undergoing divorce proceedings as of October 2023. Park has secured custody and parental rights, while Choi has visitation rights, allowing him to meet his children two days a week.
