Webtoon Artist Joo Ho-min and Creator Calm Man Showcase Unwavering Friendship on Cheonggye Mountain Hike
On the 27th, E-sports caster Dangun shared several photos on his social media, captioned "Cheonggye Mountain hike with Kim Ki-yeol, Joo Ho-min, Calm Man, Dangun, Godbogi, and Shim Moon-kyu." In the photos, Joo Ho-min is seen visiting Cheonggye Mountain with members of the YouTube creator group 'Baedoraji,' including comedian Kim Ki-yeol, Shim Moon-kyu, and broadcaster Godbogi.
Particularly noteworthy is a photo featuring Joo Ho-min alongside his close friend and fellow webtoon artist-turned-creator Calm Man (real name Lee Byung-gun). The two stand side by side against the backdrop of Cheonggye Mountain, beaming with smiles that highlight their strong bond.
Fans responded to the post with comments such as "Come back soon," "It's great to see you doing well," and "When will we see you live again?" expressing their longing for the duo.
Previously, Joo Ho-min was a regular guest on Calm Man's YouTube channel, gaining much affection from viewers. However, in 2023, controversy surrounding Joo Ho-min's son led to the suspension of their joint broadcasts, sparking rumors of a fallout. Joo Ho-min later appeared on Danny Cho's YouTube channel, clarifying, "We are still close friends as ever," and explained, "Considering the commotion that might arise if I appear, we both thought it wouldn't be beneficial."
Joo Ho-min is well-known as the original creator of the blockbuster film 'Along with the Gods.' In September 2022, he made headlines for filing a child abuse lawsuit against a special education teacher, based on recordings from a device placed in his developmentally disabled son's bag. The initial court ruling imposed a 200,000 won fine on the teacher, but the appellate court later acquitted them. The case is currently awaiting a decision from the Supreme Court.
