Actor Jin Tae-hyun Announces Departure from 'Divorce Consideration Camp'

Actor Jin Tae-hyun has announced his departure from the reality show 'Divorce Consideration Camp' (referred to as 'Divorce Camp'). He revealed that he learned about the decision through his manager.

On the 28th, Jin Tae-hyun shared a handwritten letter on his Instagram, stating, "I was planning to say goodbye after my last broadcast, but I decided to share this now."

In the letter, Jin Tae-hyun explained, "I am leaving 'Divorce Camp.' I was informed of the production team's explanation and decision regarding my departure through my manager, and I will be leaving after the final recording in early April."

He reflected, "My life experiences are limited and subjective, and I wonder if my thoughts and advice were helpful to viewers and participating couples. However, I worked harder and more sincerely on this show than any other in my 25-year career."

Jin Tae-hyun expressed gratitude to MC Seo Jang-hoon, saying, "I am thankful to Jang-hoon, who recommended me despite my shortcomings."

He added, "I will continue to live as a 'marriage-promoting couple' with my wife, filled with gratitude and love. I will also work hard on various broadcasts and challenges ahead."

Previously, on the 27th, a JTBC representative confirmed, "It is true that Jin Tae-hyun is leaving 'Divorce Camp.'" The decision was made as part of the program's restructuring and changes. Jin Tae-hyun's episodes will air until June, and his replacement has not been decided yet.

Jin Tae-hyun joined 'Divorce Camp' in August 2024, after it was officially scheduled on JTBC. He served as a husband-side investigator and couple psychodrama assistant for about 1 year and 8 months.

Notably, when Jin Tae-hyun was preparing for thyroid cancer surgery last year, the 'Divorce Camp' team wrote a rolling paper to support him and kept his spot open until he recovered and returned.

'Divorce Camp' is a reality show where couples contemplating divorce experience a simulated divorce consideration period and adjustment process, allowing them to realistically ponder actual divorce.
