On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Yojung Jae-hyung' featured actor Ahn Hyo-seop, who openly discussed his past as an idol trainee and the experience of not making his debut.
During the interview, Ahn Hyo-seop, who grew up in Canada, mentioned, "My parents always emphasized the importance of humility," adding, "The more people liked me, the more I felt the need to stay grounded." He continued, "I constantly check myself to avoid getting carried away."
Ahn Hyo-seop confessed, "I really love music, but repeating it over and over made me think I might end up disliking it," and decided, "I should keep music as a hobby."
Reflecting on his time as a JYP trainee, Ahn Hyo-seop admitted, "Part of the reason I was cut was because I wasn't good enough," and evaluated himself critically, "I would have cut myself too." He honestly revealed, "I thought I could manage singing somehow, but dancing was really difficult."
Ahn Hyo-seop particularly noted, "At that time, this experience felt like a blemish on my life, and for 4-5 years after debuting, I didn't even want to talk about it," but added, "Looking back now, it was an invaluable experience. Without that failure, I wouldn't have made the choices I did today."
