Actress Moon Ji-in Opens Up About Overcoming IVF Failures and Achieving Natural Pregnancy
On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Ji-in's Friend' featured Moon Ji-in and her husband Kim Ki-ri in a Q&A session where they candidly discussed the beginning of their relationship, the pregnancy process, and their experiences with IVF.
Recently, Moon Ji-in announced her successful natural pregnancy, stating, "I am due in August." Married to Kim Ki-ri for three years, she revealed, "We briefly met the life we will meet in August shortly after our marriage, but had to part ways. It was a long wait after that," sharing her experience with miscarriage.
The repeated failures, tests, and side effects from injections brought not only physical pain but also psychological pressure. Moon Ji-in confessed, "By the sixth injection in my stomach, I was so sick I vomited," and "The emotions that came with menstruation after failure were even more painful," revealing the harsh reality of her struggles.
Kim Ki-ri also shared, "It wasn't easy watching from the sidelines. It was frustrating not being able to do anything to help."
Moon Ji-in revealed that after IVF failures, she visited a traditional Korean medicine clinic on the recommendation of actress Hong Ji-min, who had also succeeded in natural pregnancy. "After treatment, my menstrual cramps significantly improved. Personalized care, circulation improvement, and short detoxes seemed to help," she said.
She also mentioned environmental factors, stating, "Even when I miscarried, it was a natural pregnancy, and all natural pregnancies occurred abroad."
Moon Ji-in revealed the baby's nickname is 'Life' and, when asked about the baby's gender, said, "We will reveal it in a gender reveal content," heightening anticipation.
Meanwhile, Moon Ji-in and Kim Ki-ri, who married in May 2024, announced their pregnancy last month and recently returned from a prenatal trip to Guam.
