Im Ji-yeon Opens Up About Her Passion for Acting and Upcoming Role in 'Brave New World'
On the 24th, Artist Company released Im Ji-yeon's photoshoot with 'Allure Korea.' The fashion lifestyle magazine's shoot was themed around a night full of desires. Despite her busy schedule with drama filming, Im Ji-yeon stood in front of the 'Allure' camera, creating a dreamy and intense image.
In the interview following the shoot, Im Ji-yeon expressed, "I try to work on every project without regrets, but I can confidently say that I loved 'Brave New World' to the fullest. The lines I deliver as Shin Se-ri, and the ones I hear while acting, are so good. The certainty that I can deliver a positive message, resonance, and hope makes me work even harder."
Im Ji-yeon continued, "The duality of the character was attractive. Even a character who seems like a villain is just a person. Deep down, she's pure, lovable, and a bit silly. Se-ri's survival instincts often took precedence over her actions. The more you see her, the more you want to comfort her."
Known for her unexpected roles and performances in works like 'The House with a Yard,' 'The Glory,' and 'Money Heist: Korea,' Im Ji-yeon cited fun as her driving force. She said, "There are times I want to go smoothly, but I don't think that's my nature. The thrill of being reckless is significant. I think I have to go my own way with its ups and downs. I usually watch a variety of works, including movies, dramas, and entertainment shows, which keeps inspiring me. When I keep thinking, 'I really want to try that role!' it eventually comes out without me even realizing it," she laughed.
Meanwhile, Im Ji-yeon will meet viewers through 'Brave New World,' which premieres on the 8th of next month.
