Jessica Sheds Tears Singing Girls' Generation Hits at Vietnam Concert
On the 18th, Jessica held her solo concert 'Reflections in Vietnam,' where she connected with local fans. During the performance, she delivered a medley of hits from her Girls' Generation days, including 'Gee,' 'Tell Me Your Wish,' 'I Got A Boy,' 'The Boys,' and 'Mr. Mr.'
Particularly emotional was her ballad rendition of Girls' Generation's debut song 'Into the New World,' during which she was seen shedding tears.
This isn't the first time Jessica has performed Girls' Generation songs on stage. In January, she also sang tracks from her group days during a concert in Malaysia, drawing attention. Opinions are divided, with some viewing it as leveraging her former group's success, while others see it as a gesture for fans.
Reactions to the recent performance are mixed. Some speculate her tears reflect nostalgia or complex feelings about her departure, while others caution against overinterpretation, suggesting it was merely a reflection on past years.
Jessica debuted with Girls' Generation in 2007 but left the group in 2014. Since then, she has pursued a fashion business and solo career, and in August 2022, she published a novel titled 'Bright.' The book, which tells the story of a protagonist ousted from a nine-member girl group, sparked controversy for its perceived parallels to her past conflicts.
