April's TENASIA ARTIST TOP TEN Voting Kicks Off: BTS and Ha Sung-woon Lead the Race
Organized by TenAsia, the 'Artist Top Ten' is a monthly competition that selects the most buzzworthy domestic artists. Male and female K-pop idols, as well as artists from various genres (indie, mixed groups, ballads, etc.), compete for the top spot in their respective categories.
The April voting began at midnight on the 10th and will continue until 11:59 PM on the 23rd.
The 'Artist Top Ten' global voting is divided into K-POP BOY BRAND, K-POP GIRL BRAND, and HOT GENRE BRAND categories.
In the K-POP BOY BRAND category, 20 teams, including Ha Sung-woon, BTS, Kang Daniel, 2AM, NCT Dream, NCT, Tomorrow X Together, Stray Kids, Seventeen, Super Junior, Astro, Lee Junho, &TEAM, SHINee, P1Harmony, ENHYPEN, and more, are nominated.
Among them, Ha Sung-woon and BTS are receiving the most love. Ha Sung-woon, a former member of Wanna One, is gearing up for activities with the full group. This marks their reunion after seven years since disbandment. 'Wanna One Go: Back to Base' will premiere on Mnet Plus at 6 PM on the 28th and will also air on Mnet at 8 PM the same day. On the morning of the 9th, a mini fan meeting was held at DMC Cultural Park in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, ahead of the reality show 'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base'.
BTS released their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' on March 20. The title track 'SWIM' has been in the 'Top 5' of the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks, receiving immense love. They kicked off the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at Goyang Stadium on the 9th, meeting over 132,000 fans over three days. The tour will continue in Japan on April 17-18, followed by performances in North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. They will return to Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12-13, marking their first visit in three years and eight months.
Voting for the 'Artist Top Ten' is conducted through the TenAsia voting service. Rankings are determined 100% by the voting scores on the TenAsia application. After the monthly voting concludes, the top 10 artists are selected based on the highest combined fan voting scores. An event is also held on the voting page, where participants receive one heart as a gift for daily attendance check.
Candidates for the K-POP BOY BRAND and K-POP GIRL BRAND categories are selected from the top 20 teams on the Melon Chart and Idol Champ monthly chart. Candidates for the HOT GENRE BRAND category are chosen from the top 20 artists on the Melon Chart and Celeb Champ monthly chart.
Artists who make it to the 'Artist Top Ten' receive benefits such as special articles linked to their final ranking, promotion on the TenAsia website, and inclusion in the next month's Artist Top Ten candidates (limited to the first-place artist).
