Former Fin.K.L Member Ock Joo-hyun Purchases Luxury Apartment in Seoul's Hannam The Hill for Record $140 Million

Musical actress and former Fin.K.L member Ock Joo-hyun has made headlines by purchasing a luxury apartment in the prestigious Hannam The Hill residential complex in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for approximately $140 million.

According to recent reports in the entertainment industry, Ock Joo-hyun acquired the apartment, marking her first home purchase. The property, previously owned by Heo Hee-soo, president of SPC Group, boasts a spacious 332 square meters and features a unique duplex design. The real estate registry indicates a mortgage of approximately $91 million was set during the transaction.

Ock Joo-hyun's purchase price is the highest recorded transaction within Hannam The Hill, surpassing the previous record set by BTS member Jin, who bought a unit for around $129 million in March of last year. This new transaction sets a new benchmark for the complex.

Hannam The Hill is renowned for its prime location offering views of both Namsan and the Han River, along with its stringent security measures that restrict outsider access. These features have attracted numerous celebrities and business figures, including BTS members RM and Jimin, and actor So Ji-sub.

Ock Joo-hyun, who debuted in the entertainment industry in 1998 as a member of Fin.K.L, has since expanded her career into musical theater. She has appeared in major productions such as 'Rebecca,' 'Elisabeth,' 'Wicked,' and 'Mata Hari.' Most recently, she performed in 'Anna Karenina' at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul from February to March.
