Park Sung-woong Shines on KBS with Diverse Roles in 2026
Actor Park Sung-woong is set to have a busy year on KBS, showcasing his versatile acting skills.

Every Thursday night, Park transforms into a relatable family man in KBS2's 'Simwoo-myeon Yeonliri,' playing the role of 'Sung Tae-hoon,' a former corporate employee who suddenly relocates to the countryside. His portrayal of a man juggling farming and family life has resonated with viewers, showcasing his human charm and realistic acting, a departure from his typically intense image.

Park has also been confirmed to star in the highly anticipated KBS2 historical drama 'Moonmu.' This traditional historical series, based on historical narratives, will highlight Park's unique charisma and broad acting range as he embodies the leadership of Kim Yushin, drawing significant attention from the industry.

By taking on these two diverse projects simultaneously, Park Sung-woong demonstrates his stable acting prowess and distinctive charisma, seamlessly transitioning between modern and historical dramas. His ability to present different genres on the same network is expected to further emphasize his acting transformation and presence.

Previously, on the 8th, Park appeared as a witness at the Seoul Central District Court for the ongoing trial of former Marine Corps 1st Division Commander Lim Seong-geun, accused of perjury. Park testified about witnessing a scene in August or September 2022, where Lee Jong-ho, former CEO of Black Pearl Invest, referred to a person presumed to be Lim as 'our commander' and embraced him at a gathering.

With these contrasting projects lined up, 2026 is shaping up to be Park Sung-woong's year. In addition to his television roles, he will also appear in films 'Okay Madam 2' and 'Land,' continuing his success on the big screen.
