A video capturing the fatal assault on film director Kim Chang-min by a group of men in their 20s has been released, causing public outrage after their arrest warrants were dismissed.

According to the family, Director Kim, who had an autistic son, visited a 24-hour restaurant because his son wanted to eat donuts. A physical altercation ensued with other patrons over noise issues.

CCTV footage released on the 31st shows the group of young men cornering and assaulting Kim. Despite being knocked down by a punch to the face, the assailants continued to drag and attack him.

Kim was taken to the hospital an hour after the incident, where he was declared brain-dead. He saved four lives through organ donation before passing away.

The family expressed their frustration, stating, "The initial response and the handling of the suspects have been inadequate, and the perpetrators are still freely roaming the streets."

He contributed to major films like 'Man of Will,' 'The Drug King,' and 'The Witch.' His directorial works include 'Someone's Daughter' and 'Exit No. 3 at Guui Station.'
