Outrage as Video Emerges of Fatal Assault on Director Kim Chang-min; Suspects Remain Free
According to the family, Director Kim, who had an autistic son, visited a 24-hour restaurant because his son wanted to eat donuts. A physical altercation ensued with other patrons over noise issues.
CCTV footage released on the 31st shows the group of young men cornering and assaulting Kim. Despite being knocked down by a punch to the face, the assailants continued to drag and attack him.
The family expressed their frustration, stating, "The initial response and the handling of the suspects have been inadequate, and the perpetrators are still freely roaming the streets."
Born in 1985, the late Director Kim Chang-min began his career in 2013 as part of the props team for the film 'The Suspect.' He contributed to major films like 'Man of Will,' 'The Drug King,' and 'The Witch.' His directorial works include 'Someone's Daughter' and 'Exit No. 3 at Guui Station.' Last year, he showcased his passion for filmmaking with the release of his new work 'Return.'
