Shinhwa's Jun Jin and Wife Ryu Yi-seo Open Up About Their Journey to Parenthood

Ryu Yi-seo, wife of Shinhwa's Jun Jin, has shared her reasons for preparing for a baby.

On the 31st, the YouTube channel 'My Love Ryu Yi-seo' released a video titled 'The Only Lovebirds in the World, Jun Jin ♥ Ryu Yi-seo, Start Preparing for Pregnancy at 43'.

In the video, Ryu Yi-seo revealed her goals for the year, stating, "We are preparing for pregnancy and currently undergoing IVF. We are planning to retrieve eggs once more and have not yet proceeded with the implantation," she said, adding, "We are planning to attempt the implantation soon."

Discussing the IVF process, Ryu Yi-seo said, "When we were younger, we only had to take care of ourselves and lived comfortably. Now, even if it's a bit tough, we think it's natural, so it doesn't feel too difficult."

The reason Ryu Yi-seo began to seriously consider having a child was due to Jun Jin's health scare. She shared, "Last year, my husband suddenly fell ill and had to go to the hospital. Seeing him in so much pain made me think, 'What if he dies? How will I live alone?'" She continued, "I suddenly thought that if we had a child who resembled him, I might be able to cope better."

Ryu Yi-seo described Jun Jin's condition at the time, saying, "I thought it was something serious like a brain vessel issue. He was vomiting at home and slurring his words, so we even got an MRI." Fortunately, it was nothing major, just a severe case of indigestion, but it prompted them to seriously discuss having a baby.

Her affection for her husband remains strong. Ryu Yi-seo recalled when Jun Jin went on a 3-night, 4-day business trip, saying, "I cried at the door when he left and again when he returned. We are so close that the emptiness felt significant." She added, "I can be apart for about five days, but a week feels too long."

When asked who she hopes their child would resemble, Ryu Yi-seo replied, "I hope they look like my husband but have my personality." She also explained why they delayed their plans for a second child, saying, "I wanted him to receive complete love, so we postponed thinking about a baby. Now, I feel he has received enough."

Regarding her satisfaction with marriage, Ryu Yi-seo rated it "99" and confidently stated, "I would marry Jun Jin again," showcasing their loving relationship.

Meanwhile, Ryu Yi-seo, a former flight attendant, married Jun Jin in 2020.
