Seo In-young's Bold Makeup Sparks Nostalgia and Positive Reactions

Former Jewelry member and broadcaster Seo In-young has captured attention with her bold smoky makeup and 'lip erase' style, showcasing a unique look.

On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Reformed Seo In-young' released a video titled 'Seo In-young Reads Hate Comments After 10 Years (Truth and Lies).' In the video, Seo In-young reflects on her past actions and takes time to read and respond to negative comments directed at her.

Her striking makeup particularly caught the eye. The heavy smoky makeup covering her eyes contrasted with the white-pink lips, perfectly recreating the retro vibe from 18 years ago. Additionally, her full bangs and short haircut reminiscent of her 'Cinderella' era brought back memories for many fans.

Upon the video's release, netizens responded positively, saying, "The era has finally caught up with Seo In-young," "An icon of the era who made Korean women wear mushroom hairstyles and popularized high-waisted fashion," and "It feels like the background of a music program from back in the day, and I love it already."

Previously, Seo In-young had drawn attention with her unique makeup and fashion styling in her solo song 'Cinderella.' However, with the release of her 2013 mini-album 'Forever Young,' she stated, "I always strive to show a new side of myself. When people think of 'Seo In-young,' they think of high heels, thick jackets, and heavy makeup, the 'strong sister' image, but I wanted to break away from that," surprising everyone with her softer makeup.

Meanwhile, Seo In-young explained her reason for starting her YouTube channel, saying, "I was contemplating how to make a comeback and thought being honest was my strength, so I decided to start it."
