South Korean actor Lee Sang-bo has passed away at the age of 45.

According to a media report on the 27th, Lee Sang-bo died on this day. The police, alerted by a family member's report, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Born in 1981, Lee Sang-bo made his debut in the 2006 KBS2 drama 'Invisible Man Choi Jang-soo'. He later appeared in various dramas such as 'The Golden Age of Daughters-in-Law', 'Bad Love', 'Rugal', 'Private Lives', 'Miss Monte-Cristo', 'Elegant Empire', and the film 'Mephisto'.

Last year, Lee Sang-bo signed an exclusive contract with KMG (Korea Management Group). At the time, the agency stated, "We plan to provide full support," and added, "We ask for your interest and love as we await his next project."

In 2022, Lee Sang-bo was embroiled in drug use allegations, which were later clarified to be due to small amounts of narcotic substances in his prescribed antidepressants and tranquilizers. However, during the investigation, a false report emerged claiming he admitted to the charges, leading to him being labeled as a 'drug actor'.

Subsequently, a detailed analysis by the National Forensic Service found no drug substances in Lee Sang-bo's body, and the Seoul police decided not to pursue charges against him for drug use.
