Daniel Radcliffe Hopes Son Remembers Him as a Regular Dad, Not Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe, beloved worldwide as the original Harry Potter, expressed his desire for his son to remember him as a regular dad rather than the iconic wizard.

In a recent interview with Vulture, Radcliffe revealed that his son is not yet aware of his famous role in the 'Harry Potter' series.

He shared, "Recently, someone asked me for an autograph and handed me a 'Harry Potter' DVD. My son saw it and asked, 'Dad, who is that?'" Radcliffe added, "I actually liked that. I want my son to remember me just as his dad."

Radcliffe also explained that he quit smoking after being a heavy smoker for 20 years due to growing fears about mortality after becoming a father. He stated, "I never thought about quitting smoking, but my son gave me the reason to do so."

Previously, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Radcliffe mentioned that he has been engaging in weight training, circuit training, and cardio exercises. He described himself as a "classic case of someone who replaced an addiction with exercise."

Radcliffe has been in a relationship with actress Erin Darke since 2014, after meeting on the set of the 2013 film 'Kill Your Darlings.' The couple welcomed a son in 2023.

Radcliffe made his debut in the 1999 TV film 'David Copperfield' and gained fame through the 'Harry Potter' series. Erin Darke has appeared in films such as 'Complete Unknown,' 'Don't Think Twice,' and 'Thank You for Your Service.'
