Korean Trot Singer Kim Eui-young Tops Poll as Most Desired Cherry Blossom Viewing Companion

Korean trot singer Kim Eui-young has been voted as the number one female singer people want to go cherry blossom viewing with this spring.

From March 16 to 22, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female singer would you like to go cherry blossom viewing with this coming spring?'

Kim Eui-young took the top spot. She debuted as a trot singer after finishing in the top 5 on TV Chosun's entertainment show 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. Last May, she released her fourth single 'STARTrot PART.1,' produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track 'Do Whatever You Want' is a bright and lively dance trot song that showcases Kim Eui-young's refreshing charm.

In second place was Kim Da-hyun, who recently completed her first solo concert on March 14 at KBS Hall in Namcheon-dong, Busan. Kim Da-hyun captivated the Busan audience with her powerful vocals, honed through traditional Korean music, and her modern trot sensibility, delivering both poignant and exciting performances.

Third place went to Jeon Yu-jin, who appeared as a special MC for two consecutive weeks on KBS 2TV's 'Pyeonstorang' on March 20, adding energy to the show with her stable hosting and reactions. Jeon Yu-jin's new song 'Gayo Gayo' will be released on March 26 at 6 PM on various music sites.

Currently, TenAsia's website is hosting polls on topics such as 'Which female singer would you like to take a night walk with in the warm spring?', 'Which male singer would you like to take a night walk with in the warm spring?', 'Which female trot singer would you like to take a night walk with in the warm spring?', and 'Which male trot singer would you like to take a night walk with in the warm spring?'
