Recently, the YouTube channel 'Insaeng Mwoitsyu' featured a video titled 'Does Jong-kook Pretend Not to Know Me Because He's Successful?' In the video, Kim Jung-nam shared the backstory of Turbo's formation and his genuine feelings towards Kim Jong-kook. He revealed, "Originally, the singer in the group wasn't Jong-kook. There was another vocalist, Indigo's Kwak Seung-nam, who left after about eight months."
Kim Jung-nam explained the process of Kim Jong-kook joining the group, saying, "We suddenly needed a new singer, and that's when I met Jong-kook. I was desperate for someone to sing with. I was confident in dancing and rapping, but I lacked in singing, so he was essential." He added, "I found Jong-kook after a month of searching, and it turned out to be a great opportunity in my life."
Why Did Kim Jong-kook Invest 3 Billion Won?
Describing his relationship with Kim Jong-kook as "a younger brother better than an older brother," Kim Jung-nam expressed gratitude, saying, "After Turbo's activities, Jong-kook personally covered the costs of album production and music videos, which amounted to over 3 billion won. Everyone thought the company supported it, but it was all Jong-kook."
Kim Jung-nam expressed his appreciation for Kim Jong-kook's attitude towards him, saying, "Even now, when we meet, he says, 'Do what you want, I'll help you.' He respects me."
Kim Jung-nam shared his aspirations, saying, "I was only active in broadcasting for about eight months. People think I was active for a long time, but that's not true. I want to continue this work until I die. There are more ways to show myself now, so I'll keep going."
