Korean Broadcaster Seo Yuri Shares Divorce Settlement, Responds to Online Comments

Korean broadcaster Seo Yuri has shared her divorce settlement with ex-husband Choi Byung-gil, sparking reactions from netizens.

On the 19th, Seo Yuri posted a photo on her Instagram story with the caption, "When can I receive it?"

The photo revealed part of the divorce settlement with Choi PD. According to the agreement, Choi PD agreed to pay Seo Yuri a total of 323 million won as part of the property division by December 31, 2024. If the payment is delayed, an annual interest rate of 12% will be added starting January 1, 2025.

Seo Yuri shared the document more than a year past the agreed deadline, indicating that Choi PD has yet to fulfill the payment.

As the news spread across various media outlets, one netizen commented, "3.2 billion won after 5 years of marriage... seems worth it." Another added, "If I were a woman, I'd marry a rich man and split it evenly. Meeting a billionaire means earning 5 billion in 5 years, that's creative economy."

Seo Yuri responded by capturing these comments and posting them on her social media, stating, "I had much more money. What are you talking about? I've only had debts since 2019," and "He never earned more than me."

Previously, Seo Yuri revealed on various entertainment shows that she was left with debts amounting to about 2 billion won after the divorce.

Seo Yuri married Choi PD in 2019 but divorced in March 2024. She announced in June last year that she is dating a legal professional she met through a matchmaking service.
