Red Velvet's Wendy Tops Poll as Most Exciting Female Singer to Meet in Person
From October 9 to 15, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female singer would be the most exciting to meet in person?' Wendy emerged as the top choice. On October 8, a video surfaced on online communities and social media showing Wendy performing at a wedding. During her performance, Wendy shared, "I debuted in August 2014, and that's when I first met the bride. It's been almost 12 years. Back then, the bride often came to support me with candy gifts." This revelation of Wendy singing for a long-time fan added a heartwarming touch to the event.
In second place was singer Kwon Eun-bi. On the October 15 episode of KBS 2TV's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears,' Kwon Eun-bi opened up about her struggles, saying, "I run a dessert cafe, but it's tough for us small business owners because of big corporations." Previously, Kwon Eun-bi purchased a standalone house in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, for 2.4 billion won in 2024.
Third place went to Carmen from the group Hearts2Hearts. The group achieved a milestone with their debut song 'The Chase,' reaching 100 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. This achievement marks the first time a K-pop girl group debuting last year has reached such a milestone.
