Lee Jae Expresses Gratitude After Winning Two Oscars for 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'

Lee Jae, the star of Netflix's animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' has shared additional words of gratitude following his double win at the Academy Awards. Amidst controversy over the limited time given for acceptance speeches, Lee's extended remarks have garnered attention.

On the 18th, Lee took to his social media to express, "From my bedroom in Brooklyn, to performing at the Oscars…to end this beautiful journey with an Oscar in our hands…words cannot describe the gratitude I feel for everyone who’s been a part of this long and unforgettable journey. To be able to share Korean culture on that stage was such an honor." He also thanked his colleagues, family, and fiancé for their support.

Lee Jae shared photos capturing various moments from the Academy Awards, from the celebratory performance to getting his makeup done, showcasing his happiness.

'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' also known as 'Kedeheon,' won the Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on the 15th (local time).

Lee Jae, who performed and co-wrote the OST 'Golden,' took the stage to say, "This song is about recovery, not success. As a child, people mocked me for liking K-pop, but now everyone sings our song. I'm proud." After his speech, Lee passed the microphone to co-composer Lee Yoo-han, but the exit music played loudly as soon as Lee Yoo-han began speaking, leading to criticism that the ceremony did not allow enough time for acceptance speeches.
