Actress Yoon Jin-yi Discusses Parenting Challenges and Housing Plans

Actress Yoon Jin-yi has revealed her plans to apply for a housing subscription.

On the 17th, a video titled 'S.O.S Appearance of a Troublesome Four-Year-Old (Feat. Warning: Very Talkative)' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Real Yoon Jin-yi'.

In the video, Yoon Jin-yi shared her realistic parenting concerns. She said, "I've been thinking a lot about various things lately. I'm considering moving, thinking about the children's education, and planning to apply for a housing subscription."

She added humorously, "I recently went to see an apartment, and it's just three stops away from my husband's workplace in Yeouido. In the end, we have to go where the money takes us." The couple is known to reside in Gwangjin-gu, Guui-dong, Seoul.

Yoon Jin-yi and her husband also expressed concerns about disciplining their children. Her husband mentioned, "Our four-year-old is going through a phase where she's becoming more assertive. When things don't go her way, she throws tantrums and sometimes lies down on the floor. We're unsure whether it's better to discipline her firmly or to listen and accommodate her."

Yoon Jin-yi responded, "What's not allowed is not allowed. Sometimes I wish she would stop talking when I say so," emphasizing the need for principles. However, she admitted that handling children is not always easy, saying, "Even though I know I need to be firm, as a parent, my heart often wavers."

Regarding the division of parental roles, Yoon Jin-yi's husband mentioned, "I've heard that when one parent is disciplining, the other should stay out of it," agreeing that different approaches from both parents can cause confusion. Yoon Jin-yi added, "We should set roles and not interfere when disciplining the child."

She also shared her thoughts on disciplining in public, saying, "It's not good to scold them in front of others. It's better to have a one-on-one conversation in a private space."

Meanwhile, Yoon Jin-yi married Kim Tae-geun, a finance professional four years her senior, in October 2022, and they have two daughters.
