NCT's Jaemin's White Day Gift Vouchers Misappropriated by Emart Employee

In a surprising turn of events, it has been revealed that some of the gift vouchers sent by NCT's Jaemin to fans for White Day were misappropriated by an Emart employee.

Jaemin had sent 30 Shinsegae gift vouchers, each worth 100,000 KRW, to fans in the form of mobile gifticons on the night of March 14. However, when fans attempted to exchange these for physical vouchers at the store the following morning, it was discovered that some had already been redeemed at the Emart Gumi branch before opening hours.

This led fans to suspect that an employee at the branch might have preemptively claimed the vouchers. Following numerous inquiries from fans, Shinsegae Group has launched an internal investigation.

An Emart representative told TenAsia on the 17th, "We have confirmed that a Gumi branch employee preemptively redeemed 9 out of the 30 vouchers. We are currently investigating the details of the incident."

The representative added, "Actions will be taken based on the investigation results. Apart from addressing the employee's actions, we will also strengthen our voucher exchange management standards."
