Comedian Kim Ki-ri has shared the joyous news of his wife, actress Moon Ji-in's pregnancy.

On the 17th, Kim Ki-ri took to his social media to announce, "This is Kim Ki-ri, the husband of actress Moon Ji-in." He continued, "To get straight to the point, we are expecting a baby. The baby's nickname is 'Life'."

Kim Ki-ri reflected on his life, saying, "I've lived quite a selfish life, focusing more on myself than others. Since our wedding on May 17, 2024, I've tried to live better for at least one person, but the results are up to my wife to judge." He added, "Despite my shortcomings, God blessed us with a new life shortly after our marriage. Although doctors initially recommended IVF due to our age and various tests, we were surprisingly able to conceive naturally."

However, he shared the heartbreaking news that they couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat, leading to a miscarriage. "We had heard that miscarriages are common, but the pain was not," he confessed. "Last year, we tried to share my wife's pain by traveling abroad together."

Kim Ki-ri explained their journey through fertility treatments, saying, "We went through cycles of hope and disappointment, visiting fertility clinics for artificial insemination and IVF. After repeated failures, we agreed to pause IVF and try natural conception again."

He expressed gratitude, saying, "We tried to be healthier and prayed earnestly. Many people prayed for us, and thankfully, we were blessed with a child again."

Despite the ongoing anxiety, Kim Ki-ri shared his happiness, "We haven't had the baby yet, and there are still worries, but we are living each day with joy."

He also expressed empathy for others, saying, "When praying for our child, I naturally prayed for those who have lost a child or are struggling to conceive. I will continue to pray quietly in the background. Please feel free to ask for prayers anytime. It's the only way I can repay the blessings I've received."

Kim Ki-ri concluded with hope, "I look forward to the day when we can all share in this joy."

Kim Ki-ri and Moon Ji-in, who married in May 2024, have shared glimpses of their newlywed life on the SBS variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'.

The couple also shared a photo holding an ultrasound image of their baby, their faces filled with joy and anticipation as they await the arrival of their child.
