Singer Lee So-ra Reflects on Emotional Reaction to Kim Gun-mo's Elimination on 'I Am a Singer'
On October 15, Lee So-ra appeared on the YouTube channel 'Yojung Jaehyung' and explained her decision to join MBC's 'I Am a Singer'. She stated, "It was difficult to refuse the request from the production team whom I trusted." Despite her usual limited public activities, she decided to participate based on her personal connections.
Lee So-ra acknowledged that through the controversy, she realized her dual role as both a host and a contestant who could also face elimination. "From that point, I approached hosting with a more respectful attitude," she revealed.
She shared that this experience helped her become more flexible in her values. "I learned to let go of personal stubbornness and broaden my understanding of others," she said, adding, "Life is about moving forward together with those around you."
In 2011, during the airing of 'I Am a Singer', Lee So-ra faced criticism for her emotional response when Kim Gun-mo was announced as the first eliminated contestant. Amidst dissatisfaction with the results, the eliminated contestant was given a chance to re-challenge, sparking debates over the fairness of the program.
