Oprah Winfrey Addresses Criticism Over Her Walk at Fashion Week
Oprah Winfrey, the renowned American broadcaster, recently responded to online criticism regarding her walk.

According to Page Six on the 15th, Winfrey appeared on a talk show to explain the situation during her recent appearance at Fashion Week. She addressed the comments about her walk being likened to that of an elderly person, stating, "The sunglasses I received from an assistant before entering the venue were not prescription." Winfrey, who typically uses corrective glasses or lenses, added, "I couldn't see ahead and had to ask a security guard for directions."

She also mentioned the condition of her companion, journalist Gayle King. Winfrey explained, "At the time, Gayle King was struggling to walk due to a toe injury," providing context for their unusual gait.

Previously, on the 3rd, Winfrey attended a fashion show with Gayle King, where their cautious steps were captured, leading to mocking reactions online. Some speculated whether the cautious walk was a side effect of medication Winfrey was using for weight loss.

Winfrey, who was previously skeptical about obesity treatments, revealed in 2023 that she is "taking prescribed medication for health management." She expressed a positive outlook on medical assistance for weight management and stated she would no longer feel ashamed about it.
