Seo Dong-joo Shares Emotional Journey of Pregnancy Preparation on Social Media

Seo Dong-joo has opened up about her pregnancy preparation journey by sharing a photo of a 'two-line' pregnancy test.

On the 12th, Seo Dong-joo posted on her social media, "Hello! It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Seo explained, "After two years of just harvesting due to extreme difficulty, I finally had my first implantation. I had one 3-day embryo and two 4-day embryos frozen and implanted, and thankfully, on the 7th day, I saw the magic eye on the pregnancy test." She continued, "As the line gradually darkened, I wondered, 'Am I really pregnant?'"

However, she shared, "Life doesn't just bring joy so easily," adding, "The hCG levels were too low during the first blood test, and I failed to double them in the second and third tests, so I thought I was heading towards a chemical pregnancy." She continued, "Then, miraculously, the levels exceeded 100 in the fourth test, and the doctor said there's still a chance to keep monitoring."

Seo Dong-joo expressed, "In the media, 'coming out' about pregnancy is often depicted as a joyful moment when the two lines appear on the test, and the news is shared with family. But reality is far from that." She added, "The joy of seeing the two lines was short-lived, and the ambiguous time of 'being pregnant but not really' left my heart in tatters." She confessed, "I am a slave to hormones and pregnancy tests, crying and praying, enduring each day."

Seo Dong-joo shared her earnest hope, "I will have another blood test this Saturday. I sincerely hope to hear better news then." She added, "Please pray for me. Thank you. I will greet you again with good news."

The shared photo shows a pregnancy test with lines that have gradually darkened. Comedian Kim Young-hee commented, "Waiting for good news," while Hwang Bo-ra wrote, "Praying for you, Dong-joo." Netizens also left comments like "I hope everything goes well," and "Supporting and praying for you."

Seo Dong-joo also shared a 'Infertility Vlog' video on her YouTube channel. In the video, she talks about the pregnancy preparation process and the people she is grateful for, becoming emotional at times. Seo Dong-joo shared, "I am a slave to hormones and pregnancy tests. I cried a lot, even in the taxi on my way to work, and the taxi driver prayed for me." Previously, Seo Dong-joo had confessed about the difficult times she faced due to infertility.

Seo Dong-joo is the daughter of the late Seo Se-won and Seo Jung-hee. She married in 2010 but divorced in 2014. She remarried last year to a man four years her junior.
