Gong Hyo-jin Reveals Why She Skips Thank You Speeches at Award Shows
On the 12th, the YouTube channel 'For Now, Gong Hyo-jin' released a video titled 'Gong Hyo-jin Chats with Park So-dam.'
In the video, Gong Hyo-jin discussed her close friendship with Park So-dam, stating, "We meet often and know each other well. Honestly, there are no secrets between us."
During a conversation about travel, Gong Hyo-jin lamented, "Why don't those great restaurants come to Seoul?" to which Park So-dam humorously replied, "You always want to bring everything over. You even talked about opening a kimbap shop in New York." Gong Hyo-jin laughed, saying, "I just say things like that. It's all talk."
Park So-dam shared, "I feel anxious when plans change, so I research in advance when traveling. I may not visit every place, but I prepare options for when the situation allows." In contrast, Gong Hyo-jin said, "I'm the type to postpone today's tasks to tomorrow. Nothing major happens, I've realized."
The conversation also touched on acting. Park So-dam praised Gong Hyo-jin's acting style, saying, "You're truly an intuitive actress." She added, "Even during filming, you instantly become the character when the camera rolls. I need time to immerse myself, but it's amazing how quickly you do it."
She also shared her thoughts on award ceremonies, stating, "I've never given long thank you speeches at award shows. Listing names feels like a burden." She added, "While others enjoy their moment, I feel like I should quickly step down."
Gong Hyo-jin gifted Park So-dam a book, saying, "I received two copies and was told to give one to someone, and I thought of you." The book titled 'You Don't Need to Be Loved by Everyone' caught attention.
Meanwhile, Gong Hyo-jin married singer Kevin Oh, who is ten years her junior, in New York in 2022.
