Musical Star Ock Joo-hyun Shares Behind-the-Scenes Moments from 'Anna Karenina'
On the 11th, Ock Joo-hyun posted several photos and videos on her Instagram with the caption, "Sarangbang Dressing Room🌸."
The posts reveal Ock Joo-hyun enjoying some downtime with her fellow cast members before a performance of the musical 'Anna Karenina.' In particular, two male actors are seen playfully climbing on each other, creating a cheerful and friendly environment.
Previously, Ock Joo-hyun was embroiled in a 'casting monopoly controversy' for 'Anna Karenina' in January. She was triple-cast for the role of Anna alongside Kim So-hyang and Lee Ji-hye, but Ock Joo-hyun had significantly more performances. The production company explained the next day, stating, "Casting and scheduling are the exclusive rights of the production company and the original creators," and added that "various factors such as negotiations with the licensor, reduced total performances, and actors' schedules made it a challenging schedule to finalize."
Meanwhile, 'Anna Karenina,' directed by Alina Chevik, is based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy, published in 1877. It explores themes of love, infidelity, and moral conflict against the backdrop of 19th-century Russian aristocracy.
