Korean Entertainers Lee Kyung-sil and Cho Hye-ryun Share Hilarious Investment Failures
On October 10th, the YouTube channel 'Shin Women' released a video titled 'I Should Have Sold When They Told Me To.' The video features Lee Kyung-sil, Cho Hye-ryun, and Lee Sun-min sharing their personal stories related to financial investments.
Both Lee and Cho admitted, "In our over 30 years in the entertainment industry, there's no investment strategy we haven't tried." Lee Kyung-sil humorously confessed, "I started investing in stocks a few years ago, and I've lost over 300 million won. I bought Samsung Electronics at 70,000 won, but it dropped so much that I sold it when it returned to the original price. Now, I can't even look at Samsung stocks without feeling frustrated."
Cho Hye-ryun's real estate blunder particularly caught attention. She shared, "About 20 years ago, I heard about a promising area in Yongin and bought 100 pyeong for 70 million won, but it still hasn't been developed. When I visited, there was no road to access the land; you'd need a helicopter to get there." She added humorously, "Everything around my land has been developed except for mine. Universities like Yongin University and Myongji University have sprung up all around."
The video sparked reactions from viewers, with comments like, "Do you really need a helicopter to access land on Earth?", "It's a sad story, but it's so funny," and "I've also been duped by real estate schemes."
Meanwhile, 'Shin Women' has revamped its format to allow for more relaxed conversations outside the traditional studio setting. The new format has been well-received, and viewers are eager to see the chemistry between the three hosts in future episodes.
