Controversial Incident: MC Ding Dong Accused of Assaulting Female Streamer During Live Broadcast

MC Ding Dong (Heo Yong-woon), who was previously embroiled in a drunk driving controversy, has shocked the public once again by allegedly assaulting a female streamer during a live internet broadcast.

According to entertainment industry sources on the 11th, MC Ding Dong was seen grabbing the hair of a female BJ (broadcast jockey) and assaulting her during a live online broadcast. The incident occurred after the female BJ made a joke referencing MC Ding Dong's past drunk driving and hit-and-run incident, which led to him losing his temper and attacking her.

After the incident, MC Ding Dong left the scene but later returned, visibly emotional, and explained, "I haven't had any work for a year and a half, and I was trying to show that I'm living diligently now. But when she brought up that topic, I got emotional." He added, "I will never drink and drive again."

However, the public's reaction to the video was overwhelmingly negative. Online comments included, "Why is he crying when he's the one who assaulted her?", "Is this what he calls self-reflection?", and "The broadcast was bizarre, telling the camera to move while someone was being assaulted."

Previously, in 2022, MC Ding Dong was arrested near Hawolgok-dong, Seoul, for refusing a police breathalyzer test and fleeing after being reported for driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, with a 2-year probation, for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving), obstructing official duties, and causing injury during the obstruction of official duties.

Meanwhile, MC Ding Dong recently resumed activities as a pre-show MC for 'Current King of Mask Singer Season 3' after a period of self-reflection.
