Shooting Incident at Rihanna's Los Angeles Home: Suspect Arrested
According to foreign media reports on the 10th (local time), local police arrested a suspect on charges of attempted murder at Rihanna's mansion in Beverly Hills at 1:15 PM on the 9th. The police stated, "The suspect fired approximately 10 rounds from an AR-15 style rifle towards the mansion without exiting the vehicle," adding, "At least one bullet penetrated the exterior wall of the house, and bullet marks were found on the gate and walls." They confirmed that there were no casualties.
The suspect in the shooting incident is reported to be Ivana Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida. She was arrested at a shopping center about 12 km from the scene. Ortiz has a previous arrest record in Florida, and the police are investigating the motive and circumstances of the crime. The prosecutor in charge of the case reportedly stated that "given the severity of the charges, Ortiz could face a life sentence." Her bail is set at $10,225,000.
Rihanna is known to reside at the location with her partner A$AP Rocky and their three children. It is understood that she was inside the mansion at the time of the incident. However, it has not been confirmed whether A$AP Rocky and the children were present at the scene.
Meanwhile, Rihanna rose to global stardom in the early 2000s with hits like 'Umbrella.' She announced her relationship with A$AP Rocky in 2020 and became a mother to two sons three years later. Last September, she welcomed a daughter amid public celebration.
