Hwang Bo-ra Reveals Past as Idol Trainee in Reunion with Brian on YouTube Show

Actress Hwang Bo-ra recently revealed her past as an idol trainee.

On October 10, the YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety' released a video titled 'Reuniting with Brian after 20 years?! But it's full of swearing...'.

In the video, Hwang Bo-ra reunited with Brian after 20 years for a fun English lesson. Feeling the urgency to improve her English, Hwang Bo-ra requested a one-on-one session.

Hwang Bo-ra confessed, "Last week, a foreign teacher came, and I couldn't understand a word. I realized I need to learn more English, not just for my son, but for myself."

When Brian made a surprise appearance as her English teacher, Hwang Bo-ra humorously exclaimed, "I want to die(?)," expressing her shock at their reunion. The two hadn't seen each other in 20 years. Brian reminisced, "The last time we saw each other was during 'X-Man' and 'Love Letter'," recalling their past variety show days.

Hwang Bo-ra reflected on Brian, saying, "Back then, he was the epitome of an SM Entertainment star. I was preparing to be an idol at Sidus with Jeon Hye-bin. SM felt like the standard at the time." Brian humorously added, "Hwang Bo-ra was like the female version of me," causing laughter.

As the English lesson began, Hwang Bo-ra struggled. Brian challenged her with verb usage, dictation, and listening tests, and she stumbled from the start. Frustrated, she exclaimed, "I'm so tired," to which Brian quipped, "Tired? You should have been born smart," eliciting laughter.

During the lesson, Brian joked about Hwang Bo-ra's YouTube persona, saying, "Stop drinking so much. You haven't changed a bit in 20 years." He fondly recalled her laid-back and cool demeanor from their 'Love Letter' days. The two shared memories, bantering naturally as if no time had passed.

After the lesson, Brian, looking exhausted, humorously remarked, "My thoughts on today? I can't believe people like this exist. Please erase today's meeting from your memory card," and added, "Hwang Bo-ra, your confidence is great, but don't show it too much," continuing the playful banter.
