Actress Ji So-yeon Apologizes for Controversial Japan Trip Video Amidst Korean Independence Movement Day
Actress Ji So-yeon has issued a formal apology following the controversy surrounding her Japan trip video, which was posted just before Korea's Independence Movement Day.

On March 2, Ji So-yeon addressed the issue on her personal social media account, stating, "I am taking the various opinions regarding the Japan trip video uploaded at the end of February very seriously." She continued, "The video was content documenting a trip taken on February 11, but I failed to consider the significance of the posting date deeply enough. I sincerely apologize for not being more attentive."

Ji So-yeon added, "Although it was a video recording my personal life, I acknowledge that the timing of the post, regardless of my intentions, caused discomfort and disappointment. I am truly sorry."

She also expressed concern for her travel companion, saying, "I am troubled that my friend Mira, who traveled with me, is also facing criticism. The decision to upload and publish the video was entirely mine. Mira was unaware of any related issues." Ji So-yeon apologized to Mira, hoping she would not be hurt by the situation.

In conclusion, Ji So-yeon stated, "This incident has made me realize the importance of acting with greater caution and responsibility. I will be more considerate of social contexts and timing in all future content planning and publishing. I humbly accept the criticism received."

The controversial video, which was uploaded to Ji So-yeon's YouTube channel on February 28, featured her visit to Takamatsu, Japan, with fellow actress Yang Mira. Following public backlash, the video has since been made private.
