Virtual Group Issegae Idol Tops February's Tenasia Artist Top Ten K-Pop Girl Brand
The Tenasia voting service conducted global voting in February, dividing the categories into K-Pop Boy Brand, K-Pop Girl Brand, and Hot Genre Brand. The voting took place from February 9 to 22.
Organized by Tenasia, 'Artist Top Ten' is a monthly competition that selects the most buzzworthy domestic artists. Male idols, female idols, and genre artists (indie, mixed groups, ballads, etc.) representing K-pop compete for the top spot in each category.
The voting results revealed that the virtual group Issegae Idol claimed the top spot in the K-Pop Girl Brand category. Formed through an audition planned by internet broadcaster Woowakgood, this six-member virtual idol group debuted on December 17, 2021. Last month, they made headlines by becoming the first virtual idol to win the Post Generation Award at the Hanteo Music Awards.
In second place was the virtual group Hades, planned by streamer Bongjun. They gained attention by successfully entering the Melon TOP100 chart with their digital singles released late last year and early this year. Hades released their first digital single on December 26, which reached number 2 on the Melon TOP100. Their second single, 'Planet B,' released in January, topped the TOP100 on the 11th, creating a buzz.
IVE secured the third spot. Their agency, Starship Entertainment, announced their comeback on January 23 with 'Revive Plus.' The pre-released track 'BANG BANG' consistently stayed at the top of the music charts, and with the announcement of their second full album, it became the first 2026 release to achieve a 'Perfect All-Kill.' The title track 'BLACKHOLE' also climbed the charts, gaining popularity.
Following them were Red Velvet, H1-KEY, fromis_9, Kim Sejeong, IU, Girls' Generation, and BLACKPINK.
The rankings of Issegae Idol, Hades, IVE, Red Velvet, H1-KEY, fromis_9, Kim Sejeong, IU, Girls' Generation, and BLACKPINK were determined 100% by voting scores on the Tenasia application. After the monthly voting concludes, the artists with the highest combined fan voting scores are selected as the Artist Top 10. The voting page also offers a daily heart gift event for attendance checks.
Candidates for the K-Pop Boy Brand and K-Pop Girl Brand categories are selected from the top 20 teams on the Melon chart and Idol Champ monthly chart for the month. Candidates for the Hot Genre Brand category are chosen from the top 20 teams on the Melon chart and Celeb Champ monthly chart.
Artists who make it to the 'Artist Top Ten' TOP 10 receive benefits such as special articles linked to their final ranking, promotion on the Tenasia website, and inclusion as candidates for the next month's Artist Top Ten (limited to the first-place artist).
