Korean actress Kim Ji-ho has issued an apology after being criticized for underlining a book borrowed from a public library.

On the 23rd, Kim Ji-ho took to her social media to express her regret, stating, "I apologize to those who were uncomfortable with my careless actions. I have a habit of underlining in my own books, and it slipped out when I wanted to remember the last part of the book I borrowed from the library. It's inexcusable."

She further added, "When someone pointed it out, I realized my mistake. I will either purchase a new copy for the library or compensate them for it. I sincerely apologize and will replace the book." Kim Ji-ho also acknowledged, "Sometimes I act carelessly like this. I will take this as a lesson and be more cautious in the future."

However, the issue arose when it was revealed that she had underlined passages in a book labeled as belonging to a public library.

Netizens reacted with criticism, saying, "How can someone think of underlining a library book?", "It's not even in pencil, but pen," and "She should compensate for it."
