Korean Actress Kim Ji-ho Apologizes for Highlighting Library Book

Korean actress Kim Ji-ho has issued an apology after being criticized for underlining a book borrowed from a public library.

On the 23rd, Kim Ji-ho took to her social media to express her regret, stating, "I apologize to those who were uncomfortable with my careless actions. I have a habit of underlining in my own books, and it slipped out when I wanted to remember the last part of the book I borrowed from the library. It's inexcusable."

She further added, "When someone pointed it out, I realized my mistake. I will either purchase a new copy for the library or compensate them for it. I sincerely apologize and will replace the book." Kim Ji-ho also acknowledged, "Sometimes I act carelessly like this. I will take this as a lesson and be more cautious in the future."

Previously, Kim Ji-ho shared on social media that she had finally finished reading Kim Hoon's novel collection 'Alone at a Distance,' which she had delayed returning. Her post included brief reflections such as "The writing kept pulling me in," and "It's painful, difficult, and lonely." However, the issue arose when it was revealed that she had underlined passages in a book labeled as belonging to a public library.

Netizens reacted with criticism, saying, "How can someone think of underlining a library book?", "It's not even in pencil, but pen," and "She should compensate for it."
