Former The KOXX Guitarist Lee Soo-ryun in Remission from Blood Cancer
Lee Soo-ryun, former guitarist of the band The KOXX, is reportedly in remission after battling blood cancer.

On the 24th, a media outlet reported that Lee was diagnosed with blood cancer between 2021 and 2022, at stage 3 at the time of diagnosis.

According to the report, Lee has been undergoing treatment and is currently in remission, managing his health with regular follow-up examinations.

Remission is a medical term indicating that cancer symptoms have disappeared or significantly reduced, with a complete cure typically determined after monitoring for recurrence over a period.

It is known that more time is needed for Lee to be declared completely cured. However, he has recovered to a level where he can carry out daily activities without difficulty.

Meanwhile, Lee married a non-celebrity woman in 2019. Recently, as his health has improved, he has been involved in producing commercial music and collaborating with fellow artists.

The KOXX, where Lee was active as a guitarist, is a South Korean rock band formed in late 2008. They gained attention in 2009 when selected as a 'Hello Rookie' by EBS's 'Space Gonggam.' Their debut album 'Access OK' in 2011 ranked 4th on MTV IGGY's 'Best Debut Album of the Year' and won several awards, including Mnet's '20's Choice' Band Music Award, Gaon Chart Music Awards' Discovery of the Year, and the Korean Music Awards' Best Modern Rock Album.
