Shin Dong-yup Reveals Why Ex-Girlfriend Lee So-ra Skipped Ahn Jae-wook's Wedding

On the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shin Dong-yup,' Shin Dong-yup discussed why his ex-girlfriend, model Lee So-ra, did not attend Ahn Jae-wook's wedding.

Actors Lee Jae-ryong, Yoon Da-hoon, Sung Ji-roo, and Ahn Jae-wook appeared on the show on the 23rd.

During the episode, Ahn Jae-wook shared stories from his wedding. Shin Dong-yup mentioned his appearance on Lee So-ra's YouTube channel, saying, "So-ra said she didn't attend Jae-wook's wedding because she was worried about running into me."

Ahn Jae-wook laughed, "It's not easy to say that yourself," and explained, "I met So-ra before. She apologized for missing the wedding, saying she was worried about the attention if she and Shin Dong-yup met there."

Lee Jae-ryong, listening to the conversation, teased, "This shows that Lee So-ra is more thoughtful than Shin Dong-yup," bringing laughter.

Ahn Jae-wook married musical actress Choi Hyun-joo on June 1, 2015, and they welcomed a daughter in February the following year. Ahn Jae-wook revealed, "I fainted after the wedding. When I woke up, the first night of our honeymoon had disappeared," adding humorously, "That's why our daughter's nickname is 'Hanbang.'"

In 2021, Ahn Jae-wook welcomed a son and shared, "We had stress about not having a second child for about two years. We wanted it to happen naturally, but the more we wanted it, the more anxious we became."

Ahn Jae-wook attended a state banquet for Korea-Vietnam relations hosted by President Lee Jae-myung at the Blue House in August last year. The event was attended by 66 people, including major business leaders like Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, as well as cultural and sports figures like former Vietnam national soccer team coach Park Hang-seo.

Reflecting on the state banquet, Ahn Jae-wook candidly expressed, "I wondered if I deserved to be invited to such an event. My popularity in Vietnam is probably a thing of the past."

He humorously added, "When I got there, I saw real chairmen from Hyundai, LG, and others. I'm just a fictional chairman in dramas, but people were calling me 'Chairman, Chairman.' The real chairmen who run billion-dollar businesses were sitting in the back, and I felt embarrassed."
