Former Dalmatian Member and XG Producer Simon Arrested in Japan on Drug Charges
According to a media outlet on the 23rd, Simon, whose real name is Junho, was arrested in the early hours at a hotel room in Nagoya, Japan, for violating drug control laws. At the time of his arrest, Simon was reportedly in possession of cocaine and marijuana and was accompanied by three officials from a major Japanese entertainment agency. The police are currently investigating the specific circumstances, including how Simon obtained the cocaine.
Simon joined Dalmatian as a new member in 2012, but after the group effectively disbanded a year later, he transitioned to a career as a producer. In 2017, he founded an entertainment agency and debuted the seven-member girl group XG in 2022.
XG is currently on their second world tour, which began on the 6th in Yokohama, attracting an impressive 60,000 fans over three days. The group continued their tour in Nagoya on the 22nd, with Simon accompanying them.
