K-Pop Star Baek Ji-young Reveals Wealth Without Investments
On October 21, Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'Legendary Stare Down: Lee Hyori vs. Baek Ji-young - The Truth of That Day (Live Q&A).' In the video, Baek Ji-young and her husband, Jung Suk-won, engaged with fans through a live broadcast.
Addressing a previously released Tesla review video, Baek Ji-young clarified, "This is not an advertisement. I haven't received a single cent from Tesla," emphasizing that the content was self-funded.
In response to a question about owning Tesla stock, Baek Ji-young stated, "We don't own any stocks. We've built our wealth without investments."
Jung Suk-won, reading comments, acknowledged a fan's preference for him over Baek Ji-young with a humble bow and smile, saying, "I'm honored." Known for his resemblance to singer Rain and actor Kim Mu-yeol, Jung Suk-won expressed his embarrassment and gratitude, while Baek Ji-young humorously disagreed with the comparison.
In a spontaneous moment, Baek Ji-young sang a Whitney Houston song at Jung Suk-won's request. The production team humorously noted, "Usually, she charges a lot for singing, but it's free for Jung Suk-won."
Previously, Baek Ji-young revealed that she earned 10 billion won (approximately $8.5 million) from her songs, including the OSTs for 'Secret Garden' and 'Iris.' She acknowledged, "I've earned 10 billion won over my 25-year career as a singer."
