Actor Park Eun-soo Expresses Concern for Choi Bul-am's Health
On the October 19th episode of MBN's program 'Special World,' actor Im Hyun-sik was seen visiting the memorial of the late Lee Soon-jae.
During the broadcast, Im Hyun-sik shared, "I couldn't attend the funeral of my senior. It doesn't feel real that he has passed away, and I was afraid I might break down in tears, so I couldn't go in," he lamented, visibly unable to leave the site for some time.
Later, Im Hyun-sik met with Park Eun-soo, known for his role as 'Ilyong' in the drama 'Country Diary.' Park Eun-soo revealed, "I've heard several times from others that Im Hyun-sik isn't in good health. I thought, 'He shouldn't be like this,' and 'Living alone, he should at least stay healthy.'"
Park Eun-soo continued, "Many of our seniors are no longer with us, and those who are, like Choi Bul-am, are not in good health. It's concerning to see this happening," he expressed with regret.
Park Eun-soo and Im Hyun-sik are both 80 years old. Park debuted as part of MBC's first open recruitment for actors in 1969. He graduated from Seoul Drama School and has a son and a daughter.
He appeared in various supporting roles in dramas, starting with 'Country Diary,' and continued his acting career until the late 2000s. However, from 2008, he faced several legal issues, including real estate fraud, film investment fraud, and unpaid interior costs, leading to a prison sentence for fraud in 2010, which ended his acting career. In 2021, it was reported that he was working as a day laborer at a friend's pig farm, earning 100,000 won per day.
