Korean Trot Singer Kim Eui-young Tops Valentine's Day Poll

Korean singer Kim Eui-young has been voted as the top female trot singer to give chocolates to on Valentine's Day.

From February 9 to 15, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer would you like to give chocolates to on Valentine's Day?' Kim Eui-young emerged as the winner.

Kim Eui-young made her debut as a trot singer after finishing in the top 5 on TV Chosun's variety show 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. In May of last year, she released her fourth single 'STARTrot PART.1', produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track 'Do Whatever You Want' is a bright and cheerful dance trot song that showcases Kim's refreshing charm.

Singer Kim Yeon-ji secured the second spot. She recently made an appearance at the '2026 F/W Seoul Fashion Week' photo wall event at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on the 6th, updating fans on her current activities. Formerly a member of the group SeeYa, Kim Yeon-ji garnered attention last December by attending singer Kim Gun-mo's nationwide tour concert, marking his return to the stage after six years.

In third place is singer Kim Da-hyun, who is set to hold her first solo concert on March 7. Last month, she released her third studio album 'Black Swan'. The title track, also named 'Black Swan', is a dance song with an EDM rhythm and K-POP sensibility, written and composed by Kim Da-hyun herself.

Currently, on the Top Ten TenAsia website, polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to go on a date with this spring?', 'Which female singer would you like to go on a date with this spring?', 'Which male trot singer would you like to go on a date with this spring?', and 'Which female trot singer would you like to go on a date with this spring?'
